Samsung has announced Black editions of two of it's existing devices,Galaxy S4 and S4 mini.The devices were earlier spotted on Samsung's Russia website and now they have been officially launched.
The Galaxy S4 Black Edition comes with the same specs as the original S4 except the back leather finish.It sports 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and boasts of 441 PPI.It is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM depending on the market.It has a 13-megapixel rear camera BIS and LED flash while there is 2-megapixel camera with BIS on the front.It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgradable upto Android 4.4 Kit-Kat.It comes in 16/32 and 64 GB variants and can be further expanded upto 64 GB via micro SD card.It comes with 2,600 mAh of battery.
While the Galaxy S4 mini Black edition as by the name comes with a smaller 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and comes with a lower 256 PPI.It is powered by 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM.It has 8-megapixel rear shooter with CMOS and LED flash while there 1.9-megapixel camera on the front with CMOS for taking selfies.It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes in 8 and 16 GB of storage.It comes with 1,900 mAh of battery which gives upto 12 hours of Talk-time.
Samsung has told that the both the devices will be available in February but has not announced the pricing and availability of the devices in India.But the question is whether Samsung also launch other Black editions devices? Do you like the faux-leather back or simply love the black color?
