The first is the Xperia Z which is waterproof and dust-resistant with IP 55 and 58 rating.The device is water resistant upto 1 metre for 30 minutes but all the slots of the device should be closed.It sports a 5-inch Full-HD TFT display with Sony Bravia Engine 2 and has resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.It is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro along with 2 GB of RAM.It has 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and pulsed LED flash while there is 2-megapixel front camera with Exmor RS sensor.It runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly-Bean and come with 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB via micro SD card.It has 2,330 mAh of battery which gives upto 11 hours of talk-time according to Sony..The Xperia Z will be available in three Black, White and Purple 
The next is the Xperia ZL which is more compact but thicker than the Xperia Z and features a slightly smaller battery and carries some more weight.It loses the dust and water resistant capability while other specs remain unchanged.The Xperia ZL will be available in two colours Black and White
To attract consumers Sony has tied up with Vodafone to offer 8 GB free data download for two months to Xperia Z and ZL buyersThe company will also launch the Xperia Z Tablet in May 2013 which is the world's slimmest LTE tablet featuring 10.1-inch and is waterproof just like the Xperia Z.What do you think of both these devices?
