Blackberry launches the Z30 in India

Blackberry has finally launched it's Flagship Smartphone Z30 in India for Rs.39,990.It is the company's first 'Phablet' and largest device ever.It has been priced aggressively to take on the competition from Samsung,Apple and Sony.The costlier Blackberry Q10 with a keyboard retails around Rs. 45,000.The Blackberry Z30 features 5-inch Super AMOLED and runs the Blackberry 10 OS and is powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual Core Processor.The Device packs in 2 GB with 16 GB of internal memory and Micro SD card support up to 64 GB.It has an 8 megapixel rear shooter and 2 megapixel front camera.It is packed with an 2,880 mAh battery which lasts up to 25 hours.The company also offers 12 month EMI option to purchase the Z30.
BlackBerry Z30 is the ultimate smartphone for the urban youth and consumers who are looking for a bigger screen size, long-lasting battery and a best in class productivity experience," BlackBerry India Managing Director Sunil Lalvani.
The phone also includes Stereo speakers for better sound quality.Blackberry saw more than 10 million global downloads of its popular chat application BBM in the first 24 hours of re-launch, said it will organise promotion programmes to attract urban youth to the chat app.The BBM script now supports 'Hinglish' as a text, which is the first-of-its-kind feature in the domestic market, he claimed.The company had previously launched the Z10 which failed to live up to expectations and is now priced Rs.27,500 instead of the earlier pricing of Rs.40,000.BlackBerry will also establish 20 centres across the country to allow people to experience the Z30.On apps for the Z30, BlackBerry said it has close to 140,000 apps in its app world."We are here to stay.We have $2 Billion in cash reserves and zero debt.We are not going down financially"said Sunil Lalvani at the launch.
