Alcatel Idol X+ now official with a 5-inch Full HD screen and 2 GHz Octa-core processor

TCL or Alcatel as known in some markets has now officially launched the Alcatel Idol X+ after being rumored for so long.The Idol X+ is a much updated version of the impressive Idol X.It has 5-inch Full HD IPS Display and is the first device to be powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 with Mali 400 GPU.It is coupled with 2 GB of RAM and has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded till 32 GB via micro SD card.It sports 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front.It has an 2,500 mAh of battery.All this package is packed into a phone just 7.9mm thick.It also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.The phone comes in Pure White,Deep Blue and Lemon Yellow colors.But all this comes without LTE support.

TCL has bundled the Idol X+ with Boom Band which is Bluetooth enabled wristband with activity and sleep tracker available in multiple colors.It can also work as an proximity in case you accidentally leave your phone behind.It has a companion app which lets you track your performance and show off your stats to your friend.There is no word whether the Boom Band will work only with the Idol X+ or it is compatible with other phones also.

All this is priced at just ¥ 1999 (Rs.20,401) along with the Boom Band.It will go in sale on China in mid-January 2014.There is no word on global availability currently.
