Oppo R1 arrives in China as a mid-range smartphone

Oppo has made official the R1,a phone which was leaked and teased earlier.It is not an high end device but still has impressive specs.This could also be a Christmas gift for many as it is affordable too.

The device carries gold-effect metal frame which adds a touch of class around the screen.The R1 sports 5-inch 720p display which adds a pixel density of 294.It is powered by 1.3 quad core Mediatek MT6582 along with 1 GB of RAM.It runs on Oppo's Color OS based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.It has 16 GB of internal storage which is unfortunately non-expandable with 2,410 mAh of battery.

The highlight here is the rear 8 megapixel with F/2.0 aperture.Oppo promises to deliver excellent pictures in nighttime.The device also features 5 megapixel front facing camera.The camera quality will be justified when the reviews will be out.

The R1 is currently available in China from Oppo's store at ¥ 2,948 exactly (Rs.25,424).There is no word currently on the global availability of the device.
