Nokia Normandy custom Android UI leaks, runs Kit-Kat

Remember Nokia Normandy which was supposed to Nokia's low-cost phone running custom version of Android without any one of the Google services? The rumors of the device has been around from some months.Even after Microsoft acquired Nokia rumors continue suggesting that the device could launch this year. The device is supposed to an entry level device in the Asha lineup and will also come in different colors.

Famous tipster @evleaks whose leaks are proved to be accurate has posted images of the alleged Nokia Normandy running on Android. We get to see the lockscreen with some notifications along with phone running Viber and Skype apps. The status bar shows that it would be a dual-SIM phone. The tweet @evleaks reads "Android on Nokia ( -virtual buttons)" suggesting that the phone will not feature on-screen navigation buttons.

Another leaks shows the phone running through running through AnTuTu  benchmarks and show some of the alleged specs of the device.

Nokia RM-890 A110 codenamed Normandy shows the device featuring 4-inch WVGA screen with 854 x 480 resolution along with 5-megapixel rear camera running the latest Android 4.4.1 Kit-Kat.The image shows that the device is powered Qualcomm Snapdragon processor but doesn't reveals which one but it is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 200 chipset (quad-core Cortex-A5/Adreno 203 or quad-core Cortex-A7/Adreno 302).

If this phone ever sees the light of the day then it could also come with rumored Nokia smartwatch. So it is better to take this rumor with a pinch of salt. But the question is will you buy it if it doesn't comes with the Google Play store ? And has Nokia decided to go back to square one? We probably have to wait to get the answer.
