Oppo has officially launched it's flagship smartphone,Oppo N1 (16 GB) in India at price of Rs.39,999.The company has not revealed the price for the 32 GB model.The company has said that the N1 will be available in 12 cities initially including Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai and several others.The company has appointed Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor has the brand ambassador as part of it's marketing.
The N1 has 5.9-inch Full-HD IPS display making it a great choice for those looking for a phablet with some unique features.It is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 coupled with 2 GB of RAM.The processor is bit outdated for the asking price as the competitors offer the Snapdragon 800.The device comes with 16 and 32 GB of storage while there's a huge 3,610 mAh of battery that powers the device.
The device runs on Oppo's own Color OS which is a skinned version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and users also get the option to install CyanogenMod and make it the default OS or dual boot Color and CyanogenMod.It is the first smartphone to come with CyanogenMod preinstalled.The company also announced that it will be selling a limited edition of the N1 with CyanogenMod preinstalled.
The N1 is set to compete against the likes of the Samsung's Galaxy Note 3,Sony Xperia Z Ultra,Nokia Lumia 1520,LG G2,Blackberry Z30 and others.Only time can tell if Oppo pricing is right or not as the competitors already offer better features and value for money.Oppo only make profit if it launches devices in 10-15K price group as it the only group where sales are high and most of the consumers prefer this price group.What do you think of the N1?
