Samsung decides to go light with the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite

A day after it's manual was leaked online,Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite which is more portable and slimmer than the original Tab 3 series.Tab 3 Lite does not boast powerful specs as it is thought to be low cost alternative to those who are looking forward to buy a Samsung Tablet for Home use.It boasts of a WSVGA 7-inch screen with same old resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.It is powered by 1.2 GHz unspecified dual-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM.If you think these are specs are similar to the Galaxy Tab 3.7.0 then you are right but the Tab 3 Lite comes with lower 2-megapixel camera on the back but has no front facing camera and voice calling support.The rear camera also comes with features like g Smile Shot, which enables the camera to automatically shoot when a smile is detected, Shoot & Share that enables users to share images right after they are captured, and Panorama Shot so that users can capture complete images of their favorite landscapes.It comes with  low 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 32 GB via micro SD card.It comes with 3,600 mAh which can give upto 8 hours of video playback according to Samsung.On the connectivity side it comes with Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPS/ AGPS, GLONASS and 3G.

Samsung has not announced the pricing and availability of the device but it's cost is expected to be lower than the Galaxy Tab 3 8 GB which retails around Rs.15,000 so the price is would be lower than this.What do you think of the device and would you buy it?
