Sony has announced the smaller brother of it's flagship Z1 in CES, Xperia Z1 Compact. It is the international variant of the Sony Xperia Z1f introduced for Japan. The Z1 Compact features similar specs to the larger Xperia Z1 unlike most mini variants which have downgraded specs. It also features the legendary 20.7-megapixel with Exmor RS rear camera.
It sports a 4.3-inch 720p Triluminous display with X-Reality for mobile.Just like it's big brother it is too powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 coupled with 2 GB of RAM.It has 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 64 GB via micro SD card.
The highlight of the Xperia Z1 Compact is again the same 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor along with BIONZ image processing engine with LED flash as seen in it's big brother Z1.It has a 2-megapixel front facing camera that records Full-HD videos. It has 2,300 mAh of battery with Sony's STAMINA mode that turns off functions to save power.Just like it's big brother Z1 compact is also dust and water resistant with IP 55 & IP58 rating.Sony also added a new Glove mode that lets you use your device even when you are wearing gloves.Sony has done great job by launching the Z1 compact as manufacturers are aiming to making phones bigger day by day as this phone could change things. But the question will it's price be compact too?
