Motorola's budget Moto G now available in India starting at Rs.12,499 [UPDATE]

As we were told earlier Motorola has finally launched it's budget Moto G in India at price of Rs.12,499 for the 8 GB variant while the 16 GB variant is priced at Rs.13,999.The device is currently exclusively available on Flipkart with some special offers to spice up the deal which include 70% off on back covers,Rs.500 of eBooks,Rs.1000 off on clothing and 100% cashback to some 100 lucky customers making the device free of cost.

Motorola also has announced cases,flip covers and grip covers for the device: the Back covers are available at Rs.899 and the Flip covers are available at Rs.1,599 while the Grip covers retail at Rs.1,099.

The Moto G sports 4.5-inch 720p HD edge-to-edge display which results into 329 PPI which even more than the iPhone 5s.The device also comes with Gorilla Glass cornering which protects the phone from scratches.It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1 GB of RAM which is more than enough to play graphic intensive games.On the back you will find a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash which supports 720p video recording while on the front there is a 1.3-megapixel camera.The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box which can be updated to Android 4.4 Kit-Kat.The device comes in 8 and 16 GB of internal storage which is unfortunately cannot be expanded but Motorola provides 50 GB of storage on Google Drive for two years to keep consumers happy.

Motorola has launched the Dual-SIM version of the Moto G in India with micro SIM card slot.The Moto
G also features water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside.The device comes with 2070 mAh of battery which offers mixed usage upto 24 hours and also offers 30% more talk-time than iPhone 5s according to Motorola.

Earlier this month,Google had sold Motorola Mobility to Lenovo for $2.9 billion.We wonder will this affect Motorola's re-entry into the Indian Market.
