Sony unveils the Xperia Z2,Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia M2 at MWC

Sony has unveiled a trio of devices at the MWC which include the Xperia Z2,Xperia Z2 Tablet and a mid-range Xperia M2 smartphone.

The first is the Xperia Z2 which is the successor to Sony's flagship cameraphone Xperia Z1.The Xperia Z2 sports 5.2-inch Full-HD Triluminos IPS display with Live Color LED and X-Reality for mobile.It comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels giving it 423 PPI.It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 coupled with 3 GB of RAM.The Snapdragon 801 offers 22% faster GPU performance than the Snapdragon 800.It runs on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat and comes with 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended till 64 GB via micro SD card.It comes with large 3,200 mAh of battery and comes with Sony's STAMINA mode which improves battery life by turning off unnecessary functions.

It comes with same 20.7-megapixel camera with 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile CMOS sensor and comes with 27 mm G Lens with aperture of 4/2.0.Sony has updated the camera to record 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) and comes with BIONZ image processing engine.While there is a 2.2-megapixel camera on the front which records 1080p videos.Sony has also a added a Timeshift which lets you record 720p videos at 120 FPS and then you can select the parts which you want to slow down.Just like other Sony flagship it is also waterproof and dust-resistant with IP 55 and IP58 ratings.Another new feature is the addition of digital noise cancellation technology which helps to reduce 98% of ambient sound according to Sony.

The Xperia Z2 will launch globally from March in Black,White or Purple colors and at price of €600 exactly rupee 50,850.

Another device launched by Sony was the Xperia Z2 Tablet which is the successor to the Xperia Tablet Z.The Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with 10.1-inch Full-HD Triluminos IPS display with Live Color LED and X-Reality for mobile with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.Sony touts it as the "World's slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet" at 6.4 mm thick and weight of 426 g.It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and is touted as "World's most powerful tablet" by Sony.It sports a 8.1-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS for mobile while there is 2.2-megapixel camera on the front with Exmor RS for mobile.It runs on the latest Android 4.4 Kit-Kat and comes in 16 GB of internal storage expandable upto 64 GB via micro SD card.It comes with 6,000 mAh with Sony's STAMINA mode which provides upto 10 hours of usage.The tablet is also water-proof and dust-resistant just like the Xperia Z2 with IP55 and IP58 ratings.

It will be available from March with a color choice of Black and White and is expected to priced at rupee 55,000.

Last but not the least is the mid-range Xperia M2 which comes with 4.8-inch qHD TFT display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.It sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Exmor RS for mobile but misses on front camera..It is touted as the "World's slimmest 4G smartphone in it's class" at 8.6 thick.It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly-Bean and comes in 8 GB of internal storage expandable upto 32 GB via micro SD card.It comes with 2,300 mAh with Sony's STAMINA mode which provides upto 14 hours of talk-time.The device will also be available in dual-SIM variant known as the Xperia M2 dual.
