The iPad 2 (above) launched back in 2011 was the only Apple tablet to come with 30-pin dock

Apple has finally ditched the iPad 2 and the brought the iPad 4 back in it's lineup of tablets.The iPad 2 had reached the end of the road and came with pretty basic hardware specs.

The three year old tablet came with 9.7-inch IPS LCD LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.It was powered by 1 GHz dual-core Apple A5 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM.It sported a 0.7-megapixel rear camera with  720p video recording and VGA front facing camera.The tablet came with only 512 MB of RAM and 16 GB of storage which is nothing by today's standard.It was the only tablet in Apple's lineup to come with 30-pin dock connector instead of the Lightning connector found in today's Apple devices.

The iPad 2 was available in the market at price of 28,900 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi and 37,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular before being discontinued.The iPad 4 is priced at $399 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi variant while the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant will retail at $529 in the U.S.The iPad 4 is listed on Apple's India but the pricing has not been revealed yet.

While the iPad 4 was launched back in 2012 and comes with the latest Lightning connector.The iPad 4 sports a 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD Retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.It is powered 1.4 GHz dual-core Apple A6X processor with quad-core graphics and 1 GB of RAM.The tablet comes with 5-megapixel iSight rear camera with Autofocus and a 1.2-megapixel front camera which does 720p video recording.

Apple had earlier launched the 8 GB variant of it's colorful and cheap iPhone 5c to boost it's sales.The Apple has been known for it's successful strategy of selling it's product but in the recent days the company has been facing tough competition from it's competitor.What do you think of the iPad 4?
