HTC has a new 'Desire' for mid-range smartphones at the MWC

HTC has unveiled two of it's new mid-range smartphones adding to the Desire lineup at the MWC which include the Desire 610 and the Desire 816.

The first is the Desire 610 which comes with a 4.7-inch qHD display and has a rather disappointing resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood coupled with 1 GB of RAM.On the back there is 8-megapixel camera with LED flash while there is a 1.3-megapixel on the front which can record 720p videos.It runs on Android Jelly-Bean with HTC's Sense 5.5 UI on the top.It comes with 8 GB of internal storage expandable upto 64 GB via micro SD card and pack in 2,040 mAh of battery.It also comes with Blinkfeed and front-facing Boomsound stereo speakers.It comes with 4G LTE and NFC (optional) for connectivity.HTC has not announced the pricing but has said it will be available across Europe from May.

The next is the Desre 816 which is HTC's flagship mid-range smartphone and comes with 5.5-inch 720p HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.It is powered by 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5 GB of RAM.It sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera which can result in perfect selfies according to HTC.It runs on Android (unknown version) with HTC's 5.5 UI on the top and comes with 8 GB of internal storage expandable upto 64 GB via micro SD card.It packs in 2,600 mAh of battery and also comes with Boomsound dual-frontal stereo speakers and Blinkfeed alongwith 4G LTE connectivity.The company has not revealed the pricing but has said that the device will be available in China from March while global availability will begin from April.
