Budget Effect:Apple hikes iPhone rates in India

In a move related to the changes introduced in recent budget,Apple has reportedly increased the maximum retail price of the entire iPhone range in India.It is a result of the recently announced budget which has hiked the prices of imported mobiles and tablets in India.

All iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models will now become costlier by ₹ 2,500.The earlier price tag for the 16 GB iPhone 6 model was ₹ 53,500 which is now ₹ 56,000.The 64 GB and 128 GB iPhone 6 models will now cost ₹ 65,000 and ₹ 74,000 respectively.

Similarly,The 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus will now cost ₹ 65,000 while the 64 GB and 128 GB variant will now retail for ₹ 74,000 and ₹  83,000 respectively.

Older iPhone models are affected by the hike as well,with the 16 GB iPhone 5C now retailing at 33,500 while the iPhone 5S will now start at 47,000 for the 16 GB variant and 51,500 for the 32 GB variant.
